Have you set goals or resolutions this new year?
Well, here it is—the beginning of a new year. I’m not a goal or resolution cynic as some people are. However, I don’t think you have to wait until the end of or beginning of the year to make them but if that’s not you, then use this level of consciousness to work on a few.
I encourage you to give yourself some time this week to think about what you’d like to accomplish this year. Then, write it down and put it somewhere so you will be able to see them throughout the year.
The reason why I’m such a big advocate of goals is that I find most people need something in life to be striving for – no matter their age or situation.
A person without a goal is like a boat without a rudder. It won’t go anywhere.
A goal is the thing that gets you up and out of bed in the morning. It gives you purpose for doing what you do. A goal can get you excited about the possibilities in life and that alone can carry you through the dark times we all have.
Yep, a goal is up there with a good cookie and that, my friend, is worth the short amount of brainpower to think about.
Have a great and Happy New Year!
